AISC provides unique and valuable programs for Faculty and Students at NASCC: The Steel Conference. Check out the exciting programs we’re planning for the 2023 Steel Conference in Charlotte, April 12-14.

EDUCATOR SESSION


Wednesday, April 12
Lunch: 11:30 a.m. - noon.
Presentation: noon - 1:30 p.m.

Join the AISC university programs team and fellow educators for a complimentary lunch and a look at our latest programs and resources for you to teach steel design. This year, we'll also focus on a hot topic -- sustainability, and arm you with the knowledge to answer all of your students' questions.

Note: Full-time faculty members who teach at U.S. universities and attend the educator session can be eligible to receive up to $300 in travel assistance from AISC. Travel reimbursement requests can be submitted here. Receipts are required for reimbursement. Registration is required for this complimentary session.

Career Insights Session: 11:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Lunch: 12:30 p.m. - 1:00 p.m.
Direct Connect: 1:00 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.

Career Insights
Presented by Cliff Bishop (Exponent, Inc.) and Anna Klenke (Michael Baker International)

Students will have the opportunity to hear career insights from two distinguished design professionals. This two-part session will provide upcoming graduates with unique perspectives on the professional world they will soon enter. Students attending the SCIS Career Insights session will receive a complimentary lunch.

Direct Connect
Ever wish you could grab a cup of coffee with the top designers of the leading architecture, engineering, and construction firms? At this event, students will have the opportunity to connect and interact with leading industry experts from design and construction companies around North America in a relaxed setting. While not all firms at this event may be hiring, this is a great opportunity to meet significant designers and make key contacts at major firms.

Can't make it to The Steel Conference this year? Student members get free access to NASCC Online for 2023! Here's how it works:

  1. Go to https://www.nascc.aisc.org/nascc-online.

  2. Click on "Register for NASCC Online." A new window will open. Click on "Register Now."

  3. Consent and continue.

  4. Type in your name. Use the coupon code STUDENT_ONLINE. Click on "Log In." If you are a student member, your record should appear.

  5. Select the free student registration. Again, if you are not a student member, you may not see this option.

 

If your record does not appear in the database or you don't see the option for free student registration, we encourage you to contact membership@aisc.org to verify your student membership.
