WHAT IS NASCC: THE STEEL CONFERENCE?
NASCC: The Steel Conference is the premier event for structural engineers, fabricators, detailers, erectors, and architects to come together to learn about innovations in the design and construction of fabricated steel buildings and bridges. The event also includes a series of specialty conferences: The World Steel Bridge Symposium, SSRC Annual Stability Conference, QualityCon, SafetyCon, NISD Steel Detailing Conference, and Architecture in Steel. Admission to all of the conferences, which offer nearly 250 technical sessions, is included with a single registration. In addition to practical seminars on the latest design concepts, construction techniques, and cutting-edge research, the conference also offers an extensive trade show featuring products ranging from structural design software to machinery for cutting steel beams. And, of course, the three-day event provides plenty of opportunities to network with your peers and other leaders in the design and construction industry.
LETTER OF INVITATION
If you need a temporary non-immigrant visa to attend The Steel Conference, AISC offers an official letter of invitation for participants. The visa letter of invitation, though not required for the visa application, can assist as a supporting document. Simply download the letter of invitation, fill it out, and present it to the consular officer during the visa interview.
We suggest you apply for your temporary visa at least four months in advance of the conference. This letter does not guarantee admittance into the U.S., but can provide compelling evidence for immigration officials to consider. Please note that AISC cannot intervene with either U.S. embassies abroad or with the U.S. State Department on behalf of any participant.
